I was the featured composer for the highly-acclaimed 4-part BBC television series ‘Monty Don’s Italian Gardens‘, I had the privilege of collaborating with award-winning Producer / Director Patty Kraus. Patty was totally clear and specific in her brief. which made it a joy to work with her. A preview of Episode 1 is below along with audio clips of three of the main music pieces.
Quote from Patty Kraus – Television Series Producer and Director
“Steve composed the title music and many chapter themes throughout the series of Monty Don’s Italian Gardens. At all times Steve was very happy to collaborate, experiment and try out arrangements and styles for the series. In the edit when I needed a track to be a bit more sombre or energetic, Steve was able to translate this idea instantly and often, amazingly, he got the new track to me within the hour of me requesting it.
Steve is an accomplished musician and his extensive experience and knowledge enables him adapt and offer up any style of music that you might want for a TV production or film. Working with Steve was an enjoyable, successful experience and I would definitely work with him again.”
